What Does Psalm 8 Say About God's Beauty?

Updated: Aug 12

Week 2

Psalm 8 begins with: "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens." In Psalm 8, God's beauty is depicted through His majestic name and the glory He has set above the heavens. His name is described as majestic across the earth, a testament to His grandeur and majesty. His glory, set above the heavens, speaks to His supremacy and the awe-inspiring beauty of His divine presence.

The Psalm continues to reflect on the beauty of God's creation, from the stars and the moon He has established in the skies to the dominion He has granted to mankind over His works. The beauty of God, as perceived in Psalm 8, is not only in His majesty but also in His creation and the honor He bestows upon mankind.

So, Psalm 8 paints a full picture of God's beauty. It's seen in His name, His glory, His creations, and His kind interactions with people.
